These tours are not-for-profit and fund our cemetery history and maintenance projects. Haunts of Brisbane: South Brisbane Cemetery
Join ‘Haunts of Brisbane’ creator Liam Baker at South Brisbane as he shares amazing true stories of lunatic asylums, scandalous burials, bubonic plague, a ‘hijacked’ burial, and some ghostly tales. For ages 14 years and up.

Scavenger and Symbol Hunts
A fun activity for primary-aged children, searching among the graves to find different symbols and other information. They will develop an eye for the details in these special places. These are run occasionally as weekend public access events.
‘History Among the Graves’ Public Talks
A series of free outdoor public talks delivered by FOSBC historians on different aspects of cemetery history. An easy way to find out more about this wonderful place. Just bring a chair or a blanket, a bite to eat, and enjoy some history under the trees.

A fascinating new night tour of the South Brisbane Cemetery looking at historical folklore, superstitions, spells and symbology associated with death and cemeteries. For ages 10 years and up.
