Headstone Detectives: Family History in South Brisbane Cemetery

Monuments in South Brisbane Cemetery. (BCC)

Our next ‘Headstone Detectives: Family History in South Brisbane Cemetery’ tour:

Saturday 7 May
3.30 pm

Learn about researching and finding deceased family members in the cemetery. Topics include general cemetery history; relocated graves; removed headstones of  the 1970s; mapping and locating graves; government graves; war graves; and issues with existing records.

There will be an information session after the tour for those wishing to stay back and check records and find graves. Your friendly guides are cemetery historians Tracey Olivieri and Chris Dawson.

You are welcome to stay a while after the tour for coffee, tea, biscuits and a chat.
