The beginning of November has long been a time of commemoration of the deceased across many cultures who believed that for a few days a veil was lifted between this world and the next. Join us for a special twilight tour through this historical and beautiful cemetery and hear stories about the folklore of death, including the history of Samhain, the Day of the Dead, All Hallows' Day, cemetery superstitions, Glory Hands, memento mori, the language of flowers, and old gallows folklore.

This is part of our special 'All Hallows' Day' programme of events at the cemetery and will contain material from a public talk held earlier in the day.
Your friendly guides are Tracey Olivieri (the #1 South Brisbane Cemetery expert), and Chris Dawson (professional historian), and they will be more than happy to answer your questions.

All our tours are not-for-profit and the money raised goes to our cemetery history and maintenance projects.
